Simplify your life while improving your appearance with just a few treatments. Our specially trained staff member targets the areas where you desire reduced hair and silky, smooth skin.

Using advanced diode technology, the non-invasive LightSheer® Hair Removal System swiftly and painlessly removes hair from any area of the body, including the face (chin, upper lip, cheeks, nose, or ears), legs, arms, underarms, back, chest, or bikini line.

In a series of 15 to 30-minute sessions, pulses of light target hairs from their follicles beneath the skin’s surface. Patients report each laser pulse feeling similar to a rubber band being snapped on the skin, and usually do not require any type of anesthesia. Each treatment session is customized based on the color, texture, and location of the unwanted hair.

Most of the hair falls out on its own within a week or two. Regular activities can be resumed immediately, including going to work, although the skin should be kept out of direct sunlight at first.

LightSheer® DUET™

The new LightSheer® DUET™ laser hair removal system provides faster, but equally effective treatments for permanent hair reduction. A large laser head size, combined with vacuum-assist technology makes hair removal fast and comfortable, eliminating the need for topical anesthetics and gel. This makes the device ideal for treating areas such as the back and leg, which traditionally took a long time to treat. The laser can still treat specific small areas with a separate smaller tip based on the original LightSheer hair removal device.

Backed by long-term clinical data, the LightSheer® 810 nm laser has the ability to reduce hair growth and treat a range of skin colors and hair types, satisfying hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide. The ChillTip handpiece provides epidermal contact cooling and compression, increasing the penetration of laser energy to the base of the follicle.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

Is this permanent hair removal?

It is a permanent reduction of hair growth, 70-80% reduction with maintenance treatments twice a year or until the patient is pleased with the results.

Does it work on grey hair?

No, the laser is attracted to melanin (pigment). Melanin is found in skin and hair. Grey, blonde, and red hair have none to very little melanin, therefore it is not effective to treat these types.

What if I color my grey hair, will it work then?

Unfortunately, even if grey hair is colored the follicle is still grey, therefore the laser will be unable to destroy it.

Are there any preparations necessary before treatment?

Avoid acne products: cleansers, exfoliants, anti-aging products, and topicals for three days prior to treatment and for three days following treatment. No visible tan. Patients that have tan skin will not be able to have treatment. The sun must be avoided for at least one month prior to treatment. Self-tanners must also be avoided.

How will I look after treatment?

May have redness, sensitivity, and small bumps resembling shave bumps, which all resolve quickly.

Can I use makeup afterward?

May use moisturizer and makeup about an hour after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Most require 6-12 treatments for permanent reduction.

How much does it cost?

Depends on the size of the surface area being treated.

How far apart are treatments?

Treatments for hair removal should be 4-6 weeks apart for the most effective response.

Can I go out into the sun?

Patients cannot expose areas to be treated for a minimum of one week. The patient should have NO VISIBLE TAN LINES and should not expose the treated area to the sun for at least two weeks post-treatment. Recently treated areas may burn. Should refrain from sun exposure until treatment is completed in order to continue monthly appointments.

What if I stop during summer months?

Recommended to have at least six consecutive treatments in order to cause accumulative damage to follicles to diminish growth. Long-term results are best when treatments are done consecutively, but if the skin gets tan, treatment MUST be discontinued. Treatment can resume once the tan is gone and additional treatments may be needed moving forward.

What if I get sun exposure during treatment?

Sun exposure, tanning booths, and self-tanning products will allow the energy of the laser to target skin more than hair causing pigment changes, blisters or burns, and possibly scarring.
